DIVINE OVERTAKING

There is absolutely nothing that the power of God cannot enable a believer to achieve. God can do all things, and He knows what to do all the time. Elijah outran the royal Chariot of Israel because the Hand of the Lord came upon him. He was a ready man under the power of our ever- ready God. Elijah was so ready to glorify God that he tucked his cloak into his belt and ran.

As a child of God, you must know when to run and the time is now. This is not the season to crawl. It does not matter who has gone ahead of you. Don't be intimidated by the success of anyone. Say a blunt no to other gods and pray earnestly. Your time will come. Elijah prayed down rain, removed what could have slowed him down, and ran. His legs overtook the king who was in a chariot. When the hand of God is upon you, no limitation can stop you, and no human weakness can hold you back.

It does not matter what you don't have. If the Hand of God is upon you, you will run and overtake ordinary people. Don't feel disadvantaged because you are a child of God. Righteousness will lift you up. It is a matter of time. If you say no to sin, God will say yes to you when you pray. Never envy sinners. Their happiness always ends in 'Had I known'. God will give you speed, peace, and ceaseless joy if you read and obey your Bible.

A certain brother left his job to start a business. But, his plans did not work out, so he became jobless and broke. It got to the point that his children could no longer go to school. But, he did not blame the Lord. He found a way by teaching them the subjects he knew, and his wife handled the other ones. After about two years, God gave the brother a business opportunity that made him a millionaire over time. The wonderful news is that one of the brother's children graduated from university with a First Class degree.

Stay with Jesus. Work as hard as you can and leave the rest to Him. He knows what to do. Don't give up because 'all your mates' have gone ahead of you. Always remember that Jesus is with you. Once you are with Him, you will not be behind. May the grace for divine overtaking rest heavily upon you today.
